Mission hallwayby MelethiaComment: Just a little bit of tweaking went along way on this. Brought out some nice details. I need to see about buying Topaz. |

Spinning Wheelby diverssComment: This brings back some memories to me. When I was a little kid (60's) I remember imagining my mom as a little girl (which was in the 40's) and my grandmother sitting at a spinning wheel. I once asked my mother what things were like when she was a little girl, back in "the olden days". I clearly recall her jaw dropping, and she said: "I'm not THAT old!!".
Interesting subject and I can see that you tried to get a good low perspective on it. I think the photo comes off a little soft, but not old looking, if that makes sense. The spinning wheel may be a little too centered in the frame and it is cut off at the top and bottom. |

A century of open and shutby AmmieComment: I'm afraid this comes off to me as a good snapshot. Mostly, I think you may have been using your camera's built in flash, which tends to be really harsh and unflattering for most subjects. A 96k file size also indicates you could have used less compression and maybe gotten some more clarity in this. |

Look Upby LilNittanyLionComment: A bit too centered and soft for my own preference. I think there is lots of great contrasty detail here, however. |

Saint Peter's Churchby LonzComment: Doesn't look older than perhaps the 60's, but it looks like maybe the building in the rear is older than the lower one in the foreground. Nice sunset glow in the windows and a gorgeous blue sky. |

Surface to Skyby photomill31Comment: The scene is pleasant and the tones are nice and smooth. I think the biggest thing that hurt you in voting was the tilted horizon that was also very centered top to bottom. The composition may not have been very eye-leading. |
