The Streets of New Yorkby SandyPComment: Hey, I saw an article on that woman on the internet somewhere -- she is actually from Texas.
Definitely a fun photo. Nice combination of her with the wild outfit and pose along with the sedate and conservatively dressed couple in the BG. Nice! |

Football!by stupidcatComment: Nice sporty look here. Great colors.
Regarding softness of eyes, many people like the eyes to be the sharpest part of the portrait. To ensure this, a) when taking the photo, make sure you set your focus point on the eye closest to you (in this instance, her left eye), and b) consider a bit of selective sharpening on the eyes/eyelids/eyebrows even if you got a) right.
To me it looks like her left ear and the hair leading across her temple to her left ear are the sharpest parts of her face, which then makes the eyes look a bit soft by comparison. You might try using the sharpening tool on the eye area (and a bit on the lips for good measure); start with a relatively low strength sharpening setting and build it up gradually. |

In His Elementby LVicariComment: Excellent lighting, nice posed/composed, bright green jacket is what takes it over the top. Love the reflections at the bottom. |

Punkyby PaulComment: Certainly an interesting character -- the processing matches the subject perfectly, very edgy. I actually love the center landscape composition. |

Retroby BackpackRComment: I think the crop with respect to R-L is fine, as she is actually looking into the frame. I agree with cropping the top a bit. Lighting and details are great. |

attitudeby BackpackRComment: Even though you are above her, your plane of focus nicely includes her whole face plus the flowers on the upper part of her dress -- well done. A bit dark for my taste, but I think if you can probably lighten the whole thing a bit which will take care of your concerns about the body being too dark. Nice eyes, as well. |

The Rural Cookingby bnileshComment: Great environmental portrait, love the colors, nicely lit yet not so bright that it messes up the way the fire looks. |
