Missing youby CorySmithComment: Nice heart made by the thumbs and fingers but easy to miss with the cleavage being adjacent and more in focus. Smile sweet with a hint of misbehavior. |

All Smilesby rmezzoComment: Cute child. Square crop might bring more attention to the face and help remove the distracting plastic arc in left lower corner. Color balance adjustment reducing yellow-orange cast could help. |

Summer come to an Endby whiterookComment: Diagonal shoreline is nice. Dark clouds add interest. Tilt of horizon throws it off and could be corrected under the editing rules. Fill flash might have helped bring out the faces better and would help diminish the sense of underexposure. Pose less square to the camera could be more flattering. |

Hotel kittyby MelethiaComment: Fun to see a real place with real galvanized metal pails, real pavers to walk on, and non-plastic seating, whether for cats or people (we know who really owns such places). Good composition and colors.
If you ever go to Oregon, along the coast in Newport is the Sylvia Beach Hotel, with each room named, decorated, and bookshelf filled for a particular famous author. No TV's or phones. Dinner at the Tables of Content downstairs. The resident cat visits any room with an open door.
Thanks for the August 2009 Snapshot side challenge. |

New Budby KelliComment: Very nice. I usually don't like elaborate framing effects, but this goes well with the subject. Good choice of color. Also, notice way back at the start of the August 2009 snapshot thread allowing for extensive procssing as an accepted option. Glad you posted. |

34.52 Smileby MelethiaComment: Great juxtapositon of expressions. I wonder if that guy knows what he looks like. Train does a good job of simplifying the background. |

oldbuilding.jpgby dougi555Comment: Nice rhythm of repeating horzontal lines then curves above. Shame they had to deface that nice old door with signs. |
