A view into the pastby CoryComment: Good choice to have the ship just entering the swath of light - gives a sense of motion that would be lacking if centered. |

Flowerfallby MelethiaComment: Flowers in a downward flowing shape - making me think of the similarity to waterfalls. Photo philosophers know that the waterfall does not fall even while the water does. Try to ignore the average vote, as that number likely reflects literalism about only one part of the challenge description. Nice to know my high vote for this one sets me apart from "average." |

Daughter by SistoComment: Best portrait posted in a long time - evocative. ambiguous, sensitive yet strong, grungy but beautiful, done with exceptional creativity - and, of course, nails the challenge topic. 10. |

The Intricacy of Culture by JudiComment: Print very large. Hang in upscale gallery. Attach seven figure price tag. Enjoy.
Thanks for posting the large version. Very impressive. |

Rebirthby vawendyComment: Fascinating use of very limited colors: black/white/grey world for the various red tones. Framing and tilt take simple elements to a higher level. Art seems to thrive when struggling with limitations. Fitting to have this be your first entry after your accident, requiring pushing past physical (and perhaps attitudinal) limits. This got an 8 from me, so I̢۪m shocked to see it so low in the general ranking. Glad you made the effort so soon. |

My Futureby GilesComment: Echoes of Andrew Wyeth's landscapes and executed with distant colors imitating paint strokes. Perfect for the art challenge. |

Satedby GeorgesBogaertComment: I'm enjoying the elaborate composition and the processing which seems to work well with this image. |
