Life Well Livedby ryandComment: The contrast between the traditional appering fabric on her head and the zippered sweatshirt adds interest. Should score well. |

Egyptian Bredby RistyzComment: Outstanding. Triangular composition is unexpected and adds interest. |

Searching by andrewtComment: Astonishing capture -- first to get the positioning, second to have the water still enough for a perfect reflection, third to have the perfect crispness of feather detail and amazing highlights. My only chance of producing an image like this would be to use a stuffed bird. |

It's Hot In The Kitchenby CharlyComment: I like the simplicity and symmetry. A bonus point for me is seeing for the first time the detail inside this type of heating element. Perhaps the similarity to the red lamp in a traffic light makes it less easily seen as "hot". Nevertheless, I think it deserved to place much higher in the challenge. |

Flowing sheets of paperby IreneMComment: Stunning composition. The tumbnail makes the paper appear to be flowing out of two pipes. Having the pages of one book darker than the other provides an interesting contrast. Love the originality. |

Falls at Tanyard Creekby Winsome4sureComment: Having a bright boulder front and center takes away from the main subject of the image. Getting a bit closer might eliminate the bright rock, display more of the waterfall advantageously, and allow the green leaves framing it to take less room and have a more subdued role. It probably is a wonderful place, but having this in the Light Bulb challenge looks like a mistake (if so, please accept my sympathy -- it would be nice to have a way for the site council to approve withdrawal of such mistakes; if not an error, I'll be interested in learning the connection to the topic). |

The Art Criticsby ottersdenComment: Love the sense of humor. I suppose anyone giving this a very low score would have to belong to the group of twisted critics illustrated here. |

Herring, bulb and onionsby hajekaComment: Unusual combination makes me want to know if there is something that ties the objects together. Nice lighting of the objects and shadow beneath the platter, but to my taste the upper third of the image might be nicer a little lighter. |

VARIETYby TonyTComment: Nicely exposed, but the glass edges get lost in the swirls of fur. I find the black bands at the right and left sides a little too wide. |
