Excellent. The "grain" I see in the picture, and the color choice (or lack thereof) makes it look like we've stepped back in time. Of course, since it is a NC tag, this picture can't help but be awesome. :-)

Rare Butterfly Found on a Brick Road

Great detail on the hands and butterfly. What did it look like in black and white (just out of curiousity)? Honestly, for me, since this is for the road challenge, I would have liked the road to be a little more obvious (just a personal opinion). Outside of DPC, if you could crop the butterfly so it is by itself, there are some online contests that I think it would do well in. I'd give you the links here, but I can't remember them. Sorry.

Good idea and use of diagonals. Maybe if you had been closer to just one of the the cars, or if the focus was a little sharper on them ( I seem to lose some detail on the first and last ones), it would have been a slghtly more effective picture.

Obviously, if the guys were more in the middle of the mirror, it would seem more balance, but I understand you probably couldn't do a lot about that. I like the way the boys are focused, but the rest of the picture is not.

Under the Road

I like the way the bridge is silhouetted. If the sun had been just a touch higher, so the sky was a little pinker, this shot would have kicked, in my opinion.

to be taken through a windshield, this is pretty good in focus. I think it might have been more interesting if you had picked one car to focus on, or just your hand, or more of the wheel. I guess what I am trying to say is there is a little too much in this picture.

Hmmmm, hope that's four-wheel drive ;-) I like the way it's framed, giving me that back-seat driver feel, but all of the colors are kinda drab. Maybe if the jacket/shirt had been a bright color, or any color besides gray, it would have livened it up a bit.

Normally, colors like this annoy me, but I think it helps to set the mood for this picture. I'm sure others have nailed you on it, though. I think it gives it a surreal effect, though.

Good picture. The only suggestion I would make is to crop the picture just above the trees so the field is not seen.
