| 06/23/2002 12:53:00 AM | What Color Is YOUR Shadow?by GeneralEComment: I like the message this picture has, and I like the basic idea behind the set-up. The biggest problem I see with it is the hands and the shadow are too far apart, so you loose impact. also, having the hands at the edge of the planter doesn't seem to help. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

Ha -- to all of the critics!!! the colors fit this shot awsomely (is that a word?), and it is a very simple shot that makes you stop and think, "what does he mean with this picture?" I think maybe if the hands were falling out of the frame I would like it more. |
| 06/19/2002 03:01:00 PM | "Alien" or "Dad, are we done yet?"by liltoolComment: Too funny. Though it seems like I should be able to figure out how you messed up the proportions (obviously what you wanted to do), I can't seem to do it. Oh duh, I think I just got it. Any way -- go shadow. I like the crispness of it, and though its cropped a little too tight at the bottom (for me), it doesn't affect the overall quality. It is definitely a different take on kid pics! :-) |

| 06/20/2002 04:23:00 PM | Watch Outby daysezComment: Now, this picture tells a story. :-) Good use of shadow. Very well focused, and very crisp. Did you try it in black and white (just out of curiosity?) |

| 06/19/2002 03:50:00 PM | Damn Paparazzi !!!by heartsdivideComment: The sidewalk leads my eyes one way, and the shadow almost leads another. I think this could be effective if the shadow went more into the grass. Otherwise, it needed to be completely on the sidewalk, I think. |
| 06/19/2002 03:48:00 PM | Bread crumbles in shadowsby submanComment: I know shadows are supposed to be dark, so please don't think I'm an idiot, but the upper side of the picture is a little too dark for me, based on how bright the front is. Were you using the camera's flash? If so, maybe cutting it off and using another light source (sometimes I've made a flashlight work okay) to keep from getting a blare right in front. |
