Other than maybe cropping the right side (but then you would lose part of the barge), I don't know of any suggestion to make it better. What would be interesting is if you shot this picture as an overview, then included smaller bits of the picture as individual composites. Obviously that's not for DPC, but just an idea to give you an excuse to take pictures.

Wow , are they having fun, or what. This picture looks blurry in some spots, adn pixelated in others. Did you try to sharpen it? If so, it may be a hair too much, in my opinion. The boat motor (?) in the back ground looks a little out of place. :-)

It's a touch overexposed, I think, and maybe a different angle so that it was not right in the middle of the picture. It has nice colors, and seems to have good depth.

To me, the most interesting part of your picture is at the bottom. While I think I understand that you were trying to put the tree in front of the tall building, a close up of the bird, if possible, would have been nice, also.

Let me guess, he has an extreme allergy problem! :-) As far as the picture goes, it is focused well, and I think I like the different colors. As far as the subject matter goes, why would someone want to walk around with that on their head?

The colors are really muted. Was it a hazy day? In my limited knowledge, there are filters that help correct for that for some cameras (of course I can't find them for mine). Playing with the saturation levels may help too.
