I think you have done an excellent job of lighting this. It really illuminates the "cracks" well, and I like how the skinny part of the neck is brighter than the others. The simplicity of the colors (bw?) are effective in making the eyes focus on the patterns in the glass. The curves of the vase are also very graceful.

I think something that would have added more drama to this shot would be to compose/frame it differently. As it is, the centered location and basically straight on shooting makes the shot a stable one, but it kinda makes the viewer look at it and say, "okay, anything else?" I find my eye wanting somewhere to rest. Maybe if you could have moved in closer and filled the frame up with the vase, even to the point of some of it "spilling" out of the frame, it would have added more interest. Perhaps you could have chosen a perspective that would have really accented the graceful curves.

From reading your comments, and looking at your score, I suspect this is one of those shots that people either really like, or really don't like/understand it. I like the mysterious feeling that it gave. It reminded me of a spy show/movie, where the spy is on the outside, possible across the street or alley, peering at somone through binoculars. I found myself wondering if it was a shady deal going down, a lover's quarrel, or what. In that respect, your picture did a great job at presenting an open ended story. I think the yellowish/green and black of the shot is very simply and effective as there is nothing to distract the viewer from the subject(s) at hand.

The square thing is a bit distracting, but i imagine you couldn't do anything with it. I like the framing and composition. It seems a bit tilted at first, but upon second glance, it is more of your camera angle, I believe. Did you try cropping it halfway through the window? This would have made it long and narrow, but it would have gotten rid of hte top half of the picture.

Technically and creatively it is a well done shot. I am not sure what I could suggest that would make it tremendously better. I think it was just one of those subjects that either jumped out and grabbed people, or it didn't.

The colors in this are simply wonderful, and the composition is great too. It almost looks like a mad little man in the orange part in front center.

I really like this shot. I think the vertical "motion" of the boats is a nice touch, though I guess it could appear very busy. Also, the orange in the sky and the green in the water sets up a nice contrast!

The white balance seems to be a little off, I think. The paper looks blue instead of white to me. Great idea though!

having tried a shot with bubble before, you have my respect for actually getting them in focus. The only thing that would have really made this shot for me would be a background of a different color. At least I think so. The colors may not have shown up as well that way. Anyway, awesome job! 10
