You think that's air you're breathing now? by e301Comment: CRITIQUE CLUB CRITIQUE

Congrats!! I didn't vote on this challenge as I have never seen the movie and didn't think I could do it fairly. However, from what I understand, you have done an excellent job at meeting this challenge. I found this picture to be extremely well set up and shot. It is one of those that makes me go, "Dang, I wish I'd thought of something like that." Very creative, I think. The only minor nitpicky thing I could even imagine to say would be that I wish it was a bit wider. But upon reading your comments, both before voting and after, I think I understand why you did it that way. Even after reading about what you were calling distortion, I don't think it is noticeable at all. If it does anything, it adds to the shot by giving a feelign of some depth.
Great work. I know this probably doesn't help you "improve" the shot, but I don't know that I could help anyway.
Best to you in future challenges.

America's Pass Timeby WarnercableComment: I like the way the flag is framing this, but the shot overall seems a little muted to me. Perhaps more contrast would help. |

Signs of the Timesby timj351Comment: This shot is an excellent example of how using duotone can improve a picture. It really gives it character, I think. In color, I can imagine it would be busy, or down right obnoxious. |
