Prisonby Chilly0999Comment: I really like the contrast and tension established by the light and shadows here. |

Peek by AleciaComment: I love the "expression" on his/her face. Great capture and bw works very well here, I think. |

Look throughby eikidigiComment: I like how the one window has wire/screen on it. Adds interest, I think. |

A River Runs Through Itby karmatComment: Yea, yea, yea. I was so bored by the book, figured I'd avoid the movie. The river was a brownish color, mainly because of the unbelievable amount of rain we've had this summer, particularly this day. I have no idea who this guy is -- just some poor guy who was the only fly fisherman I could find on the river.
I would have had the whole rod showing, but then you would have seen what a mess his line was in (I think he was just learning or something). Also, I am on a quest to find out what the heck that pixelation stuff is -- it's not from compression, as you can see it in the original, but not at full size.
Thanks for the comments. |

Rightby kellymcgComment: Admittedly not an emotional shot for me, but I really like the composition and lighting on this. Very high-key. Nicely done. |

Garden Wheelby MiekaComment: I didn't vote in this challenge, but I would have given this shot a 7 or 8, I think. I love the composition, and the subject choice definitely meets the challenge in a high quality way. The ONLY nitpick I have is that light in the upper right in the background is a bit bright. Great work, Mieka!! |

The battleby chongoComment: Good idea, but the soft focus doesn't help in my opinion, and it either needs a slower shutter speed (with a tripod) or more light as the color seems to have a yellowish-orange cast to it. If that is intentional, okay, it just doesn't do a lot for me. :-) |
