My Persian Carpetby Reza1968Comment: That's an interesting choice of desaturation. Would it have been possible to get a different "vantage" point in order to see the textures of the rug better. Of course, the patterns sort of set up a different kind of texture. |

Big Footby johnnydComment: That's kinda scary looking!!
The only suggestion I would make is try to compose it so that there isn't part of the body showing at the top. My eyes kept following it out of the frame and away from the subject. good contrast of textures. |

Calla Lilyby nfesselComment: I love the composition on this, and the bw really gives it an interesting twist. I do think, however, that the soft focus (while normally effective for shots like this) kinda hurts since it is a "texture" challenge, and the texture isn't real obvious, to me. |

Three Friendsby leafComment: I like how the picture is divided into thirds by the different textures and colors. I think, though, that if the black had been a deeper black and had been in the middle, with not blue showing, it might have been more effective. |

Letting Go of My Youthby Photo GrapherComment: The kid in the picture looks just like the little guy in the Christmas movie -- the one that wanted the Red Rider BB gun (You'll shoot your eye out!) If you aren't American, or don't know this movie, contact me and I'll get you a link!
Great idea and well executed. I think the only I might suggest would be a tighter crop on the right. |

Garage Essentialsby PDavisComment: There's too much black space on the left. More would have been effective as negative space and less would have made the composition feel more balanced, I think. |
