Compositionally, I really likewhat you are doing here. The only things I might suggest are to move the horn down in the frame a bit more. Right now, it just looks like an ornate piece of metal, and you don't really get the feeling of it being a musical instrument. Also, and this is probably just the music major in me, a pen would have seemed more realistic to me for some reason. I assume most writers do their initial stuff in pencil, but a pen just seems a bit more "artistic." Again, that may just be me.

Technically, the focus is good and the exposure is good, though I think a bit more light overall would help the details be a bit more visible.

Overall, I think you had a nice shot here. It met the challenge, I believe, and has a nice storytelling quality about it.

needs a boost in contrast and color, or overall it is just to bright and washed out. Might be a good shot to boost the contrast on and convert to black and white.

The horse and rider are "straight" but the horizon in the background is distractedly not. Very good capture, though.

That almost looks like Western North Carolina/Eastern TN (Blue Ridge Mountain area). Nice colors. Shadows may be a bit harsh on the hay rolls, but a nice landscape nonetheless.
