Compositionally, I really likewhat you are doing here. The only things I might suggest are to move the horn down in the frame a bit more. Right now, it just looks like an ornate piece of metal, and you don't really get the feeling of it being a musical instrument. Also, and this is probably just the music major in me, a pen would have seemed more realistic to me for some reason. I assume most writers do their initial stuff in pencil, but a pen just seems a bit more "artistic." Again, that may just be me.

Technically, the focus is good and the exposure is good, though I think a bit more light overall would help the details be a bit more visible.

Overall, I think you had a nice shot here. It met the challenge, I believe, and has a nice storytelling quality about it.

If I need to further clarify or explain, please do not hesitate to contact me.

i like this. Especially the choice of using the music paper rather than just regular type.

A bit too literal?

Nice idea. Although I would have like to have seen more of the instrument, to make the connection between the staff paper and the music more apparent. Also, I think I would have preferred to remove the colour cast and leave the paper more crisply white - more 'unwritten'.
