Forest of Deanby bobonacusComment: This looks pretty good for HDR except the middle ground area appears over sharpened which is an effect derived from HDR generation. I just don't like the way HDR scenics come out, they're very unnatural-looking IMOH. |

From the yardby PrashComment: This is ok. Nothing really holds my interest except maybe the cloud on the upper left side. I hope that doesn't mean my head's in the clouds. ;-) |

Useless Anchorby dainmcgowanComment: I remember this from the FS...it appeared to be terribly over-sharpened. This looks much better. I'm not crazy about the ole anchor but I do like your vantage point and feel you really pulled this off. Well done! |

Winter-By-Moonlight.jpgby IvoryComment: Nice attempt at a night shot. I would like to see the stars a bit sharper to offset the rest of the image. The purple hue works well for this. |

SSOC4124-Edit.jpgby ikopanasComment: Nice lines in this image. I would like to see less of the pier and the upside down rowboat which detracts from the rest of the image. It creates kind of an eyesore in an otherwise beautifully serene image. |

Red Riverby StructorComment: I get a definite abstract feeling from the unusual shapes, brilliant colors and strong movement. Interesting how the red cloud almost mimics the shape of the river. Good combination of lights and darks. Very well done. |

1_Januaryby DJWoodwardComment: Very nice detail in this. The two trees act as an entranceway leading me through to the horizon. I almost expect something to be waiting for me there. |

Corbett's Fallsby NeilComment: I agree with Janine on the focal point of this image, it could use more height to balance out the falls. Your FS version worked much better. The fisherman does add some interest to the photo. Message edited by author 2009-02-23 14:30:52. |

Hole of Horcum - last lightby SaraRComment: I still think HDR creates too many phantoms, I've tried it on outdoor scenics and it always looks a little strange. The tree in the foreground is a good example of this, it's not quite matched up which gives it a very soft, unfocused appearance. Any slight movement will do this. HDR bracketed images must be totally stationary because any slight movement will create phantoms and no matter what they tell you, these cannot be aligned.
HDR works great for statonary interior shots with controlled lighting.
I do like the colors in your image and the great DOF. |

Jan-IMG_5629.jpgby heli_guyComment: I like the reflection in the water but I don't care for the top part of the image. Maybe that's just me but it doesn't appear to have a natural look about it. The bottom half of the image is quite nice. |
