What I love about this image, is that its openly evangelical overtures are matched, if not exceeded by such electrifying and inescapable drama that only one made of stone or plastic could withstand it.

I cannot imagine a more conducive stage than the one you have chosen to dazzle us with. Give my regards to Utah. Her expanse, really, is something else.

Mighty Grace

I can see why one would choose this title. With a quietly rioting capture like this, I'd consider a more subtle one, perhaps, to leave much to the viewer (?). The latent message of this image strikes me as pervasively universal, one not requiring a messenger at all.

The gracious aspect, to me, is strongly emphasized by the branches draping so wide across what appers to be a plateau or bluff, which bowers an obscured roadway.

The light, too, is splendid. A great natural spectacle without flaw or articfice.

Not a textbook composition (near-central, minimally left-tilted horizon, central subject in wide format, somewhat tightly cropped cloud swaths), but a glorious and powerful biblical image, given the spectacular scape and conditions (light, breeze etc). Pose and billowing white gown are striking and dramatically credible in this setting. The pure white, particularly, provides both a focal point within the changing tonalities of the ground and a convincing symbolism.

Both title and border are appropiate extensions of this image. Excellent, beautiful, visionary.

Beautiful balance of light and shadow. The shallow dof anchors the perspective very well. Subtle, dignified, accomplished.

I feel much like Fayech and LucidLotus, both critically and as a voter. Neither do I have any trouble discerning the pidgeon.

I speculate, that on miscalibrated monitors, beak and wings may be lost in a mere silhouette. It is a very quiet and simple capture too, with good emphasis on topicality here, perhaps appealing predominantly to those without prejudiced visions and others who appreciate the sentiments.
