I think the soft shadows of the tree spoils this a bit since it's out of keeping with the strong straight lines elsewhere in the picture. I think this would do really well in another challenge where you could crop out the tree's shadow completely.

Does the inclusion of the face strengthen or weaken this shot? For the purpose of this challenge I think it weakens since it is so dominant that it could be considered the subject and it's nowhere near the centre.

A great idea but it's not centred. You'd need to stand in the middle of the road to get this shot.
