Courthouse Fountain - Alexandriaby BAMartinComment: Greetings from the Critique Club...
Hi Barbara...
I do enjoy infrared images. This one lights up nicely with strong contrast. The only element that looks odd to me is the color of the fountain. The hue in that area doesn't seem to match the overall feel of the rest of the scene...
Keep up the good work :)

SHARK ! ! !by joleneyng1Comment: Greetings from the Critique Club..
Hi Joleneyng1...
I really hate to see that this photo scored so poorly. I gave the photo a 10 because of the blur and the sense of pure fear that the image creates for me. It was easy for me to determine what I was looking at as soon as I saw it. I think it's a great shot... nice abstract... excellent work... thanks for sharing it :)
I gave this photo a 7.
Keep up the good work :) Message edited by author 2004-04-07 16:52:26. |

Intimidated Lionby unknowndeathComment: Greetings from the Critique Club...
Hi Unknowndeath...
I enjoyed this photo as a stand-alone image. I can't offer you much of a critique since you have not explained your intent in the photographer's comments. |

Wheels of Repairby OneSweetSinComment: This is an excellent subject for this challenge. The photo is a good bit over exposed tho... I"m assuming these were dark colored, as most are. When you are pointing your camera at a predominantly dark colored scene, the reflected light coming back to your camera is less than it should be for a proper metering. I think that underexposing this shot by 1 stop (-1 EV) would probably bring it back to par. You may also be able to adjust some of this out with level adjustments also... |

Clouds of Fireby GraciousComment: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Gracious...
Nice sunset shot. The sky is beautiful :)
Compositionally, I think this photo is a bit lacking. I like landscapes that have an 'entry path'. This photo feels to me like it lacks grounding... a place for me to stand as I view the shot. Maybe you can find a composition that creates a nice foreground in this scene. Create that 'footing' and create a pathway....
Keep up the good work :)

Orange Bandsby eostylesComment: Greetings from the Critique Club...
Hi Eostyles...
This is a nice product shot.. very well executed. I haven't read your comments yet but I have no Idea why this didn't score much better than it did. Maybe when I read those comments, it will reveal a secret :)
Maybe the image, even though well executed, doesn't 'touch' anyone. Product photography often has this effect. It doesn't speak to me in any way other than to make me ask myself "would I buy a pair of these glasses?"
It appears that your border and your composition are in question from the comments... The composition is fine, in my opinion. The border may be a bit overdone, but it's not a point loss from me...
