I like this entry! The composition of this photo is very nice. I wish I could see the skater from the other side of the platform. I, traditionally, don't care for photos of people from the rear. I can't explain this one, but I believe the contrast is slightly off somehow. I suppose it's possible that you were shooting towards the sun maybe...

I enjoy hummingbirds immensely. I hope to photograph some of my own this summer. These little guys are hard to freeze but I have some ideas that may work :) This little guy is a little too close to te top of the frame in this photo and there's not a lot of contrast that really forces him out as the subject of the photo.

I need some help from you. #1 - I don't really understand this photo. If you could tell me a little about how it was done, I could possibly adjust my score...

This is an interesting shot. The framing is nice. A fill flash may have made the detail of GOD stand out a little more.

This is a beautiful shot. I love the 'orbiting' water drop off the main column of water. At first, I didn't like the contrast of this photo, but as I continue looking, I like the darkness here. The darkenss conveys the actual turbulence in the water somewhat effectively :) The only piece of this shot that I don't like is at the bottom where the dark band crosses the photo. I probably would have cropped this part out. Very nice work! Hmmm... As I continue looking at this shot, I am asking myself if I see vertical line pattern in the photo. It appears that I do :(. I am scoring this photo high just in case it is a good shot.

Hot Lathe Chips

We have a depth of field issue in this shot. It appears that only one of the 'chips' is in good sharp focus. Point and shoot cameras don't usually focus and set aperture correctly for you in a shot like this. This shot needs either manual focus (probably impossible) or aperture priority mode on your camera to allow a greater depth of field in your image.

Is this the Eurofighter? This is a nice photo. I wish the subject were larger in the frame and i wish the stopped motion wasn't smoke. Since there are no moving parts on the outside of the plane, this is like a gliding bird. It's not really moving.. you are moving the camera to follow it. I used the analogy of photographing a ferrari on a flatbad railcar in a previous comment on a photo like this...

I do like black and whites and I like Les Pauls also.. I have a '65 standard myself. Plays like a dream and sounds even better. I'm looking for the motion that is supposed to be stopped. The perspective of this shot is very nice...

I think that this is a very good interpretation of the "stopped motion" challenge. I also like the composition of this photo. I like action shots and this is a great example of that. Your depth of field nicely blurs out the background and brings the subject of the photo to my immediate attention. There are two things that would make this an even better photo. The tires on the ATV are not frozen in time. A faster shutter speed or possibly a flash on a shot like this would improve that. A flash may have also improved the detail of the rider. The rider is a little dark. Excellent shot!
