interesting photograph here... According to your title, the flowers here are the subject of this photo and they are heading down rather than up??? The camera is pointed up though... I think I may understand your interpretation of the challenge but a stronger interpretation or stronger display of this interpretation would interest me much more...

I really like the concept of this photo and how it meets the challenge... However, i really wish the cactus was in sharp focus rather than the rock in the front of the frame. The subject (cactus) should be the focal point of this shot unless I am missing something here... Good shot!

I saw this photograph last nite late and i have been thinking a lot about it. First of all, i like the challenge interpretation. The mood of this shot is great with the fog. the depth of field and overall composition of this photo is very nice. The toy ball in this photograph disturbs me somewhat. It does add a spash of color to a photo that needs no additional help with color. I'm not sure what it's purpose is in the photograph or in supporting the challenge topic. I love the overall shot here but I would love to see it again without the ball and I would love to hear your interpretation of the purpose of the ball in this shot. good work!!

Power Lines

This is a good interpretation of this challenge. Good depth of field is difficult to achieve on a shot like this one. I was successful on shots of this nature by setting my camera to macro mode and then using aperture priority to get the smallest aperture possible. Also, if you would step back about a foot from the pole so the the camera lens is not right up against it, you would get the clean focus all the way up... Play with this concept some and see what you think :) See the shot in this challenge called "Power" to get an idea of what I mean by stepping back from the subject a little.. I believe this shot perfectly describes my notes to you...

This is an interesting shot! The sun is off center... in a shot liek this, I would prefer to see the sun either centered or at one of the 'thirds' intersection points as described in the rule of thirds...
