I would like to thank everyone for the great comments on this photo. I�m not going to go into details about it here because I have prepared a �How�d They Do That� for the site. The only brief comments that I wish to make are: 1) I wish I had known about the Popular Photography photo before I did this. I would have used my other idea instead, which is shown in my �How�d They Do That� article. 2) The Popular Photography photo was NOT my inspiration for this shot. The photos that inspired this shot are listed in my article as well. My objective was to produce a BETTER image than the ones I listed. 3) I don�t believe that duplicating ideas that others have already done is wrong in any way. If this was the case, every photographer who photographs the Eiffel Tower or the White House would have to give credit to the first person who did it, right? J

I spend too much time looking at photography online. Because of this, I see quite a few photos that are duplicated ideas. I don�t hold that against the photographer. Cheers to all, and I hope everyone who celebrated Independence Day in the US had a safe and happy weekend J

I love the softness of this image. You have done a great job of creating a nice example of an 'impressionistic' painting, IMHO. I wonder what this image would look like with just the flower... Would it be possible to drape the background of this one with a dark cloth or something to let the flower really stand out? I originally scored this image with an 8 but after looking more closely, i think it deserves a 10. good shot! = 10 - jmsetzler

I really love the concept of this image. It looks to me like the post processing on this shot was a little excessive maybe... I'm not sure if the levels were adjusted this way, but the image quality is down for some reason. I will check this one after the challenge to see what has been done to it... = 7 - jmsetzler
