This is a good texture photograph. I do like the texture on the sufrace of the lemon. My critique on this photo is not an easy one. My mind imagines the bright yellow color of a lemon, because it has seen this many times before. The cast light on this particular lemon is making the surface look drab and unattractive to me. I do like the shadow that has been cast and I do like the position of the subject in the frame. I think the angle of the lighting is just messing up my mind's image of a nice bright yellow lemon :) = 6 - jmsetzler

this is a very nice photo but also a very difficult one to make... at close range, it is difficult to get the depth of field you need for an object like this one... Overall, the composition is excellent.. the blurred stamens are slightly distracting... = 7 - jmsetzler

beautiful photo.. I think the composition on this one is about as perfect as it could be... I LOVE the contrast of the eye against the black/gray feathers of this owl. The catch light in the eye is also a very nice touch. I think this is my favorite photo this week and I hope to see a blue ribbon on it Monday :) great shot.. = 10 - jmsetzler
