This is an interesting image... the motion on the ball is nice, but it makes it a bit difficult to determine what it is without the title. Without the title, the image will have a difficult time relaying a sense of 'childhood' to the viewers. - jmsetzler

Don't take this personally, but i believe that photographing a page from a book like this is a little less creative that I like. Granted, this is a childhood book, but showing just this page in a full frame is 'borrowing' from someone else's creativity rather than creating your own... - jmsetzler

Great photo! I don't have much of a critique for you because I love the image... however, maybe I can help you out anyway :) I bet you are getting comments about the tree branch on the right being distracting. This photo scores well with me purely on creativity :) This photo also demonstrates a great childhood fear. I don't know if there would be a better way to light this photo or not... it appears that a flash was used. The dark shadow behind the string hanging from the door knob makes a nice contrast, but the glare on the door knob is just a bit harsh. Natural lighting of some sort may have improved this one overall... good shot! = 8 - jmsetzler
