Time Fliesby SwashbucklerComment: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Swash...
I like your theme and the photo seems to relay that theme very well... The watches do seem to be suspended in mid air.
What puzzles me about this photo is that the watches don't seem to be very sharp and crisp like I would expect them to be from a shot with the 717 camera. Looking at this image, I would assume that there was a lot of light on the scene, but looking at your exposure information, I would assume this was incorrect based on a 1/2" exposure time.
Maybe the post processing to make the background white is what caused the watches to not be as sharp. I noticed that no one commented on the sharpness though so maybe it didn't play much of a role in the score..
Keep up the good work :)

Hi Mark...
Your photo definitely shows how time catches up with everything eventually :) I like 'rustic' and rural type images like this one quite a bit.
The contrast bump you made to the image seems to work well, but, in my humble opinion, I think the color is a bit strong. When I set out to achieve a feeling of old, I generally choose black and white or a sepia toned image to enhance that feeling. I'm not sure what the result of that would be on this particular image because of the red paint on the truck... Red sometimes gives a bland grey when converted.
Your composition is excellent... the hanging tag really sets this shot off and makes it quite strong...
Keep up the great work :)

Night at the Operaby crabappl3Comment: The color in this shot is very powerful... The image quality is also great... I think the composition could possibly be a bit stronger with a little more diagonal orientation of the lenses maybe... great shot :) - setzler |

Early Carolina Eveningby shareinncComment: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Shareinnc...
I must admit that I had a difficult time interpreting the theme of 'time' in this photo. I think I can probably understand it as a 'time of day' image though.
This image is a little difficult to critique effectively due to it's size. The detail is not very visible. At this size, I have to simply comment on the color, which is good. This could be a window with a shade pulled down or it could be light and shadows on a wall... I'm not really sure.
It may be to your advantage to work with larger images if possible...
