Slumber Down Under...by andrewlrComment: beautiful clarity and sharpness and shallow depth of field... this shot definitely gets a 10. for what it's worth, i don't like this border. it seems to upset the flow of the image by the gradient colors in it... - setzler |

23 Years in the Weatherby jdw91479Comment: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi JDW...
This photo is difficult for me to critique/comment because I'm one of the ones who did not think it was a strong tie to the 'weather' challenge. I do understand that horses are outdoor animals and they live out in the weather... this was the only tie i could come up with for this image.
Compositionally, I struggled with the photo. The framing of this shot just left my eyes wandering. I believe that for this shot to be interesting, you needed to either include the horse's ears or his mouth, or both. There doesn't seem to be any continuity or natural flow from one point to the next in this photo...
Keep up the good efforts :)
BTW- I noticed that you are in Montana... have you ever had Moose Drool Stout from Big Sky Brewing Company? :)
cheers...
John Setzler
