Ambivalentby cosmichaikuComment: This is a beautiful abstract. I love the shapes and texture here as well as the contrast. This photo is also a great example of where some minor spot editing capabilities would allow you to 'finish' the work for use in a challenge :) I know how difficult and frustrating this can be... still gets a 10 from me... great work :) |

Fields of Goldby arnitComment: beautiful work... i love the 'surrealism' provided by this image... the light.. the dark... the 'contrast' is excellent. There are a lot of great images in this challenge, but this is one of the few that works its way to the top of my list... excellent work... = 10 |

domeby magnetic9999Comment: Mag,
This *is* an excellent shot. The more I look at it, the more titles I think of that would really work strongly with this as well :) Those clouds in the distance look like a 'storm' rolling in. Since they are also illuminated much more than the capital building, it looks like this 'storm' has much more power than anything else in the photo. It really seems to create a nice theme for certain current political events and news stories. The US, being the powerful nation that it is, is constantly under various pressures and threats. Your 'storm' seems to accent that for me.
In the words of the immortal bluesman, Robert Johnson, "Hell Hounds on My Trail....."
Kudos...

Flower Powerby PHOTOCHlXComment: Personally, I would like this much better if it was in sharp focus. Maybe the tie-in to drug use in the 60s/70s is the reason you chose to make it out of focus.. interesting concpet :) |
