Confrontationby banmornComment: Not sure what, but this doesn't say confrontation to me - more sadness, contemplation, resignation... Excellent lighting and composition. |

Monk At Kingsburyby MAKComment: Excellent. Love the intensity of the eyes, and the color of the robe. Lighting is just right. |

Unmistakableby hahn23Comment: I don't see anything in the picture capable of pressing the shutter release - on-camera or remote. |

Facelessness by MinsoPhotoComment: Disturbing. The arm is unconsciously in a muscle flex position, and looks healthy and strong. Yet, the appearance of impending suicide indicates a despondency that is stronger than the promise of health, vitality, and potential. Very, very disturbing. |

Apocalypseby dtremainComment: I was editing merrily away on this when I glanced at the clock. 11:57!! I did a quick resize, save, upload. This is a composite of 4 images. Foreground, background, sky, and court house. I would love to go back and finish the edit. Too much wrong or unfinished with this to even discuss!

Reading "Jan of the Windmill" by vawendyComment: Your daughter is beautiful, and both pictures are excellent. I especially like the one of her by the window, but both evoke just the right mood. The dress looks fabulously old fashioned and high class. Wonderful work! |

Levitationby mqnaufalComment: Great image. Sorry about the DQ. I understand why you used the stick - banana chunks are a bit heavy to try to levitate on a thread.
I'm guessing acceptability depends on how visibly significant the original was - a thread being pretty insignificant, but the stick being pretty significant. Not sure about the visible in the thumbnail concept - one of my dq's was for a software bug-induced change that was barely visible in the full-sized image, and others have gotten a DQ for something not visible on their monitor (but it was on others').
Regardless, it is still a great image, and was voted highly by the majority of your peers on dpc.
WE NEED NEW REFS! (Oh, sorry, confused DPC with NFL there for a second...)
