...from the cat.by RKTComment: I thought this was a great picture - the high key look, white vignetting, the splashes of color from the ornaments, and the stark contrast of the cat. You even did a great job with the text script and color. Submit it to Hallmark - it is that good. |

Waiting for the Cat Busby markwileyComment: Bummer on the DQ, but what a great shot! I wasn't familiar with the movie that donated the title, but I felt it fit somehow. Where else would you wait for a cat bus, but at night in the middle of nowhere? |

Toastedby DsealeComment: Great image nicely done. IMO, it deserved a higher score. To me, this stirs memories of my past Thanksgivings and brings a smile. Simple, but effective. A great image that touches the viewer's soul. |

Ghosts Chandelier 1939by dtremainComment: If anyone cares, the two "ghosts" are in the upper right quarter of the image. I cloned parts of the wallpaper pattern to create the lower ghost and then cloned it as the upper ghost. I think the image was too dark on most monitors to see the ghosts, and area just looks like blank black.
BTW - This was taken at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum in Auburn, Indiana. The showroom has been restored to its original art deco glory, and this is one of the original lights. |

Wishing by vawendyComment: Absolutely fantastic! (Even with the "shadow problem"). The cat even looks like it is watching something with great interest. For me, the picture raises a lot of imaginative questions - why is the room empty? Why is there a cat in the empty room? What happened here? Or is this a fresh start? And then, emotively, a feeling of watchfulness, loneliness (maybe abandonment), but the almost golden tones dampen the melancholy and lend a touch of hope and anticipation. And all that is virtually "first impression". This is not a photograph - it is art! |
