Definitely bright, but something just doesn't work in the shot. I'm thinking that leaving out the marbles might have helped - they are difficult to recognize immediately, and are more like background interruptions of the image rather than subject matter. But, I think you are onto something with the contrast of long & straight with short & round - worth playing around with, perhaps with a more ordered arrangement.

Love the web, but too much stuff in the shot, IMO. A tighter crop and better defined single subject might work better. The trees / leaves / branches in the background are distracting to me.

Multnomah Falls - great place for pictures! I love the bright red jacket against the muted colors in the rest of the picture. Must have been cold with all the ice to either side of the falls.

Beautiful photo, definitely scored too low, I think the dissonance between it and the other entries hurt the score - not quite what the voter was looking for this time around. I love that the tone of the image fits the subject, just as the tone of some of your antique-y shots add so much to the picture, same here, except that the tone is very bright, in-your-face, unusual, attention-grabbing, PR centric, etc. 'Tis a magnificent image, 'tis, 'tis!
