The End of a Dayby sherpetComment: Aligned seagulls are very distracting - can only tell what they are from their shadows. Nice color, and texture on the water. |

The Doorby PuckzzzComment: Would that make it a great dutch door? (forgive bad humor, please...)
Very interesting shot in that you have two strong elements competing just about equally for attention, and you can focus on either and almost ignore the other. Definitely has "gotcha" power. Your composition is right on on this as well. |

12 - Light Play #1by BudComment: I like the detail on the pitcher. You might try this on a non-reflective non-patterned surface (black velvet comes to mind). For me, the stark shadow coming off to the right makes too strong a contrast with the tile, and the tile edges (especially the intersection at the far right) come into play, competing for your attention. |

Day 12: Closing Wordsby EstimatedEyesComment: Are there multiple endings? This doesn't match my memory of the end of the final chapter of book 7. At least you didn't blur the foreground - an effect I seldom find attractive. I like this better than the two entered in the challenge. I'd toyed with doing the same thing, but came to the same conclusion you did - not wanting to spoil it for anyone. It would probably do better than what I did enter (an even less original idea, evidently). At least I'll get my first top 100 finish... ;-p |

IMG_5511.jpgby PhotoDaveComment: Not sure I've seen this one at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg parade - it is very nice. Is it a replicar (the wire wheels look more modern)? And what is the car beside it? I don't recognize it.
If you're a fan of old cars, and can make it (I know Indiana is a fair distance), I'd highly recommend the Auburn-Cord-Duesenburg Festival on Labor Day Weekend in Auburn, Indiana. The "Parade of Classics" is Saturday at 1:00 PM. Friday night is the cruise-in around the courthouse square. And that's not to mention the WWII, NATMUS, and Auburn Cord Duesenburg museums, and the Kruse Auto Auction. I got to Auburn this year Saturday morning at about 11:30 AM, and left about 4 PM - and took 693 pictures - one of which was my entry for the motivation poster (Excellence).
I like your photo - this is a gorgeous car, and having it in a modern setting (shopping mall, office tower, concrete-divided road, modern parking lot) just emphasizes its classic lines and beauty. |

11 - The Street Where I Live...by BudComment: Try cropping this at about the left of the white building front. For me, the left 1/3 (especially the building) is too dark and distracts. Cropping tighter doesn't lose any of the beauty or pattern of the brick, the interest of the people. From the little I can see of the sky, it looks like there were some spectacular clouds. |

10 - Water Lilyby ErikVComment: I think you got what you were going for here. The picture is on the dark side, but not too dark, and the flower really does stand out. Even as dark as you've taken it, you can still see detail on the lily pads. |

Day-Nine.jpgby RoosterComment: Very nice shot. Virtually impossible to watch all the details, but the audience notices - like what is happening with her collar (her left, our right)? |

Day-Eight.jpgby RoosterComment: She is adorable. Love those eyes. I see her expression as inquisitive. Nice use of negative space to highlight her. |
