day-14 Mustangby digitalpinsComment: Um how could you miss with a black & white zebra striped car? Seriously, this is a very nice shot on many levels, and the unusual zebra store front and car just add a bit of the unusual and enhances interest. Your lower angle I think makes this shot - much more interesting than the PT Cruiser shot. |

The Grass by ATAPEComment: Rooster nailed it. I think the subtle green is actually better. Can you tell us how to get a bee to stay still long enough to take the shot? Its unfortunate the stalk bisects it, but what're you going to do? |

B&W Day 12by emily212Comment: While your model is attractive enough, it looks as though she has a broken neck! Also up-the-nostrils shots are seldom attractive. Image is a little grainy, but there is nice contrast. The hot spot on the chin and around the eye are a little distracting, but not too bad. |

B&W Day 10by emily212Comment: Very nice DOF (depth of field). The daisy really stands out. I think the daisy could be in a little sharper focus. |

Turn Of The Century Singerby QuigleyComment: Um. Nice subject - this brings back some childhood memories. I find the image too dark overall - there are some gorgeous markings that blend too much into the background. Also, the lighting is uneven from left to right - I'd prefer a little more light at the left side of the photo. Is this a pedal model, or just hand crank? |

Hibiscus on Edgeby dtremainComment: Originally posted by routerguy666: There are aspects of this I like, but I think the composition/crop really keeps it from having the imapct it could. |
Any suggestions? I loved the detail I got in this, but don't like the leaves on the right side. Not sure how I could crop this without losing at least part of the flower - but maybe that's not all bad (or maybe this just isn't fixable...)

Day 13: Cattailsby EstimatedEyesComment: Couldn't you move the cloud a little to the right? or up a bit? (I just hate those kind of comments). This is a seriously beautiful shot and it carries off nicely in B&W. Absolutely love the back lighting and highlighting of the cattails(?). You've got everything - a nice puffy cloud, a flying bird, pleasing lens flare, interesting foreground subject, pier posts, and even a bridge in the background. What more could you want (besides that cloud, I mean)? ;-p |
