Boltsby cogeroxComment: Nice bolts - nice exposure. You might try a crop that has as much to the left of the left bolt as right to the right of the right bolt - right! (Ugh - can't even type plain...). Did you have a purpose for so much space between the bolts? It is not necessarily bad, wrong, or undesirable - it just seems unusual without an obvious purpose. |

SchoolDoors1Web1.jpgby cogeroxComment: I like the railings leading to the doors. There is something very impersonal about this shot - clinical, institutional, not welcoming. |

Murdered1b.jpgby motherleeComment: Love the brickwork, windows and flowers. Guess it is too late - have to catch the play next week. |

St-Michael\'s-School1b.jpgby motherleeComment: This is a very, very nice shot. Metal fence. Decorative lamp pole with flower baskets (do they water those, or just let nature tend to them?). Love the brickwork on the school. |

Little-Flower-Pot1b.jpgby motherleeComment: What a nice shop! You might try straightening the photo - looks like it leans a bit to the right. Maybe that just adds to its charm. Love the colors. |

Cordes1b.jpgby motherleeComment: I thought they'd be done building the UK by now... The backlit nature of this scene leaves most of the building in shadow, which hides detail. Looks like the used car dealership has a fine selection of VWs (are German cars still shunned in the UK?)It is nice to see a street scene from the UK with elements you're familiar with but strange to U.S. eyes. I like the arrow and the construction barriers - might be a good idea for the U.S. |

summers-overby scwalshComment: Not a fan of dead flowers, either, but this has nice lighting and good DOF. |

How Times have changed by scwalshComment: So safe, they're not any fun - no competition for Sat. morning cartoons or video games. Kids have fun anyhow (and will always take unsafe risks), but you see more on a Saturday afternoon when moms are tired of having them underfoot all morning. |

Old-School-Funby scwalshComment: Love the blue paint and the rust. I don't think it hurt any of us who had to play on these things. Now, some of the playground equipment was truly dangerous - like the merry-go-round (no, I'm thinking about the kind made out of just pipes with wood seats screwed to the bare frame around the outside - usually had a ditch about 8 inches deep all the way around it - if you wanted to ride "in the center" you stood on the pipes and watched the ground blur by under your feet). But, boy were they fun! |

neglected lawn by scwalshComment: Probably the only time this year you were glad you neighbor didn't mow. I like the wooden fence and wild flowers next to it. |
