BWby bladComment: Very interesting photo nicely done. The distortion lets you know this isn't a reality shot. The strong black bands slashing through the picture gives it energy. |

Day 28: Mt Diabloby EstimatedEyesComment: Beautiful sky. Perhaps a little less foreground (from just above first major plant). Mt. is a bit hazy - don't think there's a whole bunch you can do about that.
The sparse vegetation in the foreground adds a sense of desolation or abandonment. This does not look like a friendly environment. The threatening sky just adds to the sense of foreboding. Even the slope of foreground going down adds to this feel. This photo has lots of elements well done, all pulling in the same direction. Nicely done.

Double Hibiscusby dtremainComment: Originally posted by Brat: I find the blown out sections in the background on the left a little distracting. |
I did too, but couldn't figure out how to get rid of them without major surgery. |

Day 26 - Mushroomsby BarbBComment: Fungi are a difficult shoot, but they often have interesting patterns. This is a nice shot. |

26 - Who Me?by BudComment: Took a moment to figure out what it was. Turtle head on left stood out for me. What a great shot! |

beachedby ordinaryangelComment: I've made no secret that I'm not a fan of very narrow DOF, but in this shot it works nicely. The blurred foreground works with the uneven surface and reflections on the water to lead your eye to a completely in focus main subject, and there is no distraction in the blurred background. Even the dark area in the upper left has no recognizable form - it clearly says, "nothing here to look at". This combination makes your main subject stand out, and does the band of in-focus area that goes across the picture horizontally (again helped by the distortion of the water/sand). This is very, very nice. |

day-26by digitalpinsComment: It seems that every day you've got another graffiti shot - each one different, each one well done, each one disturbing and yet fascinating at the same time. Yet none of the traditional John heart Suzie or Pete was here stuff. No, your shots are of bizarre drawings overlaying each other, often with letters or symbols spray painted over the top. There is definitely a style and feel to what you shoot all its own. |

Day 16 Where's the Bride?by TCGuruComment: The hearts are upside down - I'd rotate 180 degrees, but maybe you already tried that... This is nicely lit, and pops from the dark background. The floating pearls are a nice touch. Very nice. |
