I find it amazing what a simple shot can convey about a car. Momo is a world-class aftermarket parts provider of performance equipment. The worn rim shouts of DRIVING the car, and the wood dash with basic mounting of gauges speaks of customization. I'd be tempted to drape the keys just to the right of the center of the steering wheel and change the caption to "Want to Drive?"

Very nice shot. Love the low lighting, which highlights different lines than one would normally see. One of the great plusses of this challenge is getting to see shots of cars from other parts of the world that one would not normally see. I'm not even sure Renault imports into the US any more.
Thanks for starting this challenge. It should be a lot of fun.

Nice shot, exposure, & composition. Very much like the uphill look. The dark green OOF foliage in the upper left 1/4 of picture is a MAJOR distraction.

Tough shot. I'm sure it was a bit cramped (not to mention the "guard"). A low front shot is nice, but you clipped off the nose (no choice?). There is not enough contrast between the floor and the dark blue on the car, or between the white fence/background and the car. Also, it looks like there is something else behind the car that detracts from its lines and "presence". Nicely exposed, and great color.

Love the color, lighting, and crop. Unfortunately, your high shutter speed totally stops the action - no blur, not even on the wheels. Only the car lean gives info that it is in motion. Race shots are tough, and this one is nice.

Cute paint job. Is this a Smart II (The Benz cooperative car)?
I like that you included the "standard sized" door for size comparison.
Nice lighting - a bit hot on the side window, but that's reflected sky, and not a whole bunch you can do about it.
For someone not from France, the pavement markings also add interest.

OK... She who complains about a 5.9...
Possible vote losers: Too busy (gingham checks and polka dots for table / background), hot spots on pool ball, main subject not purple, bottom of the ball cropped off, visible gap between background and table cloths on right side, black spots on top crown points. I'm also trying to figure out if the crown is too tall - out of scale with the frog / ball - not sure about that. FWIW.
Now for my wife: Nothing special about the picture (I asked her - a frog with a crown - nothing special?), too busy - thinks that a white table / background would've made the purple ball / frog pop, also thought the frog's face looked a bit OOF.

Subjectively - it makes me smile. It also gives me visions of trying to pose the frog, set the flash, focus, and getting ready to snap, when the frog is done and gives a little hop and goes on his/her merry way.

I enjoy so many of your photos (your hubby too), and I smile when I see either of you ribbon.

Welcome to dpchallenge. Take a look at my portfolio of entries, and don't be discouraged by your initial score. You've gotten some good advice in the comments. If you look at dpchallenge as a classroom - a place to learn, you will find it a very rewarding experience.
Some suggestions:
* Pay the $25 and become a member - lets you enter more challenges
* Participate in side challenges (Community, Forums; Challenges, Side Challenges and Tournaments). This is a great way to get more comments on your pictures (be sure to give lots of comments too), and to "meet" some of the folks here.
* Check out the How To... articles
* Buy & learn a photo editing package. Adobe Photoshop is the most common (and expensive). I use PaintShop Pro Photo X2 (retail is $99, can find on sale for $49).
* Shoot lots of pictures - best advice I ever got, from a friend who worked in a media center for a non-profit organization. Forget the rules, and shoot, shoot, shoot. You can learn something from every picture, and sometimes when you break the rules, you get a great shot. (Most of the time, however, there is a reason for the rules...)
Looking forward to more of your work.

This looks overprocessed to me - a yellowish cast, grass too light of a green.
