by GermaineComment: Nice colors, contrast, and background. An established artist might get away with this - I never would. Bicyclist / bicycle kind-of wants to be in focus (or at least mostly so). My pan motion shots are blurry too, but not nearly as nice as this one.

car1.jpgby Mark-AComment: Fantastic pan shot - I've not been terribly successful with those. Plus, this car is just fantastic (even if it is orange - my least favorite color of car to try to shoot - too much sun makes it look yellow, not enough makes it look red). In addition, the graphics on it are just great. Any idea of the make of car?
Love that the green area frames the car, rather than bisecting the car's cabin with the line between the green and dark green. The yellow at top ties in nicely with the car's graphics. Just a great shot. |

Wide Angle Westyby bobonacusComment: Unusual angle and one I'm not fond of - not sure why. Almost makes the car look bent and not straight. I think it may be that the front wheels are turned. Nice capture of seat in rear view mirror. Keep an eye out for what is reflected in the paint - that light pole(?) in the nose is pretty obvious.
OK. I'm green with jealousy over the car. Was your daughter really riding behind the white seats to take your day 1 picture? That doesn't look very comfortable...

Ford-Red Light-by sfaliceComment: This is an unusual shot because of your angle of lighting, and the shadow from the cab hiding the upper part of the shot. It has that strong line leading through the shot, with the light just off it. Love the crack in the lens, and the rust bubbles.
I agree that there is probably a lot left you could do with the old truck, but sometimes it takes a break to renew the juices...

Day 2by em3Comment: This angle is almost too low for my taste - I'd like to see more of the beautiful car - this almost looks like a tire advertisement.
I'm jealous - who has a white studio just hanging around for them to work with, let alone a Lotus!

IMG_1962web2.jpgby ace flymanComment: Nice bike. Didn't expect the blue from the sepia shot. This looks like the grass above the bike has been cloned - it looks like a flat vertical rather than a lawn fading away into the distance. Notice how widely spaced the light / dark patches are in the upper right of the shot, and how close and dense the light / dark patches are above the bike.
When cloning a large area, I use as large a brush as possible and pull from the same depth in the shot if I can. I also spot from a different source over strong features that are repeated so it looks more natural. I have also been known to clone from a different picture in the same general area that has more to work with - that can be tricky because lighting can be so different from shot to shot - even when shot from the same place.

IMG_1964web.jpgby ace flymanComment: Bit different perspective. Like the sepia. Harley Davidson blends a bit too much with the grass. Did you fuzz the license? I've taken to editing them into a different number, but leaving them sharp because people expect to see recognizable numbers / letters there. |

Wrong Wayby bauerfan71Comment: Looks like 29 has a Dale kiss on its door. Was this the same corner/lap as previous picture? C'mon guys - this isn't demolition derby. |

Young Phenomby bauerfan71Comment: Looks like he's had his fenders rearranged several times already. Love the color, focus, and action in this shot. |

03 - Cranesby ErikVComment: Its OK - there is a car hidden behind the right track. Surely they don't lift the shipping containers with only two connect points?
Love the gradation of the sky from dark to pale blue (top to bottom), lighting, and color in this shot.
You might get better acceleration by connecting the car to the crane and throwing it forward - one would probably have to work on the landing though - might be a bit rough... |
