Lemon and Limeby cryanComment: Very nice. Lighting on the Lime & lime visibility is great. The foreground still says, "What am I?" but I think it is a nice change from stark all-black background. Go Nor'Easters! |

Head Shotby GermaineComment: What a great motion shot! Love the contrast of the bright red vs background, plus the backlighting and resulting reflections - a stunning image. |

IMG_8476.jpgby drydocComment: These were interesting cars, and definitely before their time. A small, economical 2-seater at a time where the full-size cars were growing wings and inches (if not feet).
Shooting at a car show is tough. In this shot, you've got a bit of shadow on the front, but overall exposure is good. Colors and focus are great. You've even snuck in a nice red Mercedes convertible in the background. |

Sep 17by Mr_PantsComment: Another great sequence shot. I've always loved open cars, and the retractable hardtop has re-emerged as a very clean vehicle. I'll have to keep an eye out for a '56 - '59 Ford Skyliner (if I remember correctly) - it had a retractable top about 50 years ago (but it filled most of the trunk, with only a little box big enough for about 2 suitcases left for storage).
I know what you mean about seeing special cars when you can't shoot. In the past couple of days, I've seen a '57 Corvette convertible, a '65ish Mustang, a recent Bentley convertible, and a '40s sedan. Sigh!

Sep 16by Mr_PantsComment: Neat effect. How did you do this? I find the traffic "stopped" on the freeway in the background interesting too. |

RML Coupe emergesby inamoComment: Don't you just love candids with people in them? Someone always has a bad expression, eyes closed, tongue hanging out or scratching / picking / something. This is a great shot - love the car and how close you feel to the scene. The car looks fast even when sitting still. Love the colors & Union Jack. |

Son's Trash or Treasure... You be the judgeby ambakerComment: How did you get into our house?! We suspect that our son has a box of our dishes in his closet from one of his "clean up for company" episodes. I've been tempted to do a "skyline" of cups on his nightstand. Photo quality isn't that great, but since the subject was "garbage", it seems appropriate to me.

IMG_8449.jpgby drydocComment: Maybe someone knows better than I, but it looks to me like a 1934 Packard (check out Packard Autombile Classics, Inc. Web Site - click on Front End Views (3rd column of site map, under Reference), then on Index.
You've done a good job of capturing the entire car - so hard to do at a car show. This is a grand old lady, to be sure.

The Old Schoolby HipychikComment: This almost has an old timey postcard look. Love the hanging branches framing the shot, and the Necessary out back. |
