A little creekby DanaSComment: Reminds me of the Oregon Coastal Range forests. Very pretty waterfalls, and great color. |

Play Misty for meby cabaComment: Stepping out of his cabin, Gary looked up at the mountain towering above. Wisps of clouds clung to its sides, obscuring its face here and there. The mountain gave him comfort. One could never be sure of the mountain, but it was always there - watching, waiting, sometimes revealing its face, sometimes hiding behind its shroud of clouds.
Nice use of b&w - definitely has a wispy mystical look to it. |

Eye to the Skyby Kevin_FlynnComment: Interesting juxtaposition of a static, web of steel against the fluid and ever-changing sky. Almost looks like a jet trail in the sky, rather than a line of clouds. There is also some nice color contrasts here too - the white against the dark blue. |

Transitions Across the Valleyby hahn23Comment: Looks like lots of evergreens on them thar hills. Very nice colors in the leaves, contrasting with the evergreens, with a rugged mountain backdrop, presided over by a very nice sky. The picture looks tilted, but the horizon is level. |

Frisco bluesby vikasComment: Very nice. Love the echo of the red in the bridge in the barge. You even managed to get a seagull in the shot. Nice colors, detail, and textures. |

She waitsby Yo_SpiffComment: There are so many nice things to say about this. Love the vine on the fence, ring on her left hand, the old-fashioned looking haircut. Having her behind the fence implies that she is captive because of what (who) she is waiting for. The vine implies hope, and yet her expression is not worried - she has every hope that the one she waits for will come - she just does not know when. There's probably more, but this image is art, and deserves to be hanging in a galley. The only nit is that the double earrings do not seem to match (period-wise) the rest of her look. |

iSlinkby daisydavidComment: Nice stop-action shot capturing detail on the bird, and capture of the water droplets above/behind it. For me, the fence/railing is very, very distracting, but there is no way to crop it out. Worse, it leads the eye through and out of the picture, bypassing the bird. |
