I come back to this picture again and again. For all the things david mentioned, and all the comments below..there is so much love and life in this shot..the emotion is truly moving. I truly think it is one of the most emotive shots on the site, and I'm so delighted you shared it with us. :)

wow. Wow. WOW. This is so simple, but so so beautiful. Yellows are hard to photography well, and you've done a magnificent job. I hope to add this to my favourites once the challenge is over. Its like high key but with yellow. How creative and beautifully executed. I love the lighting from the upper left. Tthe yellow gradient and highlights on the buttercup are super! 10

the desaturation brings our attention to the size of the rocks, and your composition clearly directs our eyes to that hammerhead balanced boulder..well done. Was the colour version too bright to keep in colour?
