Road Tripby drdab99Comment: a very creative idea! A map reflected with the country it represents.. perhaps a non-tinted window would really have given vibrance to your idea. I notice too that its a bit grainy which can often add a lot of character to a picture, but I'm not too sure it achieves anything great for me here. Good luck in the challenge! :) |

Floatersby friscaComment: thanks so much for the comments. I was a bit limited by both my equipment, which seems to love soft focus on everything! and the fact that I couldn't exactly pick the lighting on these guys. If I had seen indigo's jellyfish before I submitted this, I probably wouldn't have! :) I tried to play with levels, etc, but there just wasn't the info there to bring these guys out. |

Signaling the alarm, warning twins a year apart!by Dim7Comment: I really like the composition and great job getting most of them to look your way! It is a bit dark though, and I have this same problem with the way I take shots where the subject is dark but there is a lot of surrounding light (as it appears here, like an early morning shot), so at the risk of being impertinent, what did you focus and meter on when you took this shot? |

Female Eastern Amberwingby scw1217Comment: the brightness of the green and the detail on the bug do it for me..those wings! unreal focus, teeny tiny bit soft but still detailed. Very well done! I just bumped this to a 10. :) |

At Restby qm_kittenComment: beautiful detail on the butterflies wings, I also like the colour in the background, it adds a bit of contrast and detail without interfering with the subject. :) |

Yearling Big Horn Sheep - Colorado Faunaby jimsappComment: this is a great shot, but for his missing legs! The backdrop is breathtaking and offers enough contrast to the sheep to bring him out, though the transition from green to rock distracts some. :) |

Michigan Garter Snakeby connieComment: I'm not the biggest lover of snakes, reptilian or otherwise, but this one I really liked, the lighting was spot on, like a bright sunny day without too letting any of the shadows get in the way, and a nice shallow DOF to keep the attention focussed on the snakes head, and not the leaves and twigs it was moving about in. 9 |
