There's an interesting dichotomy here. On one hand, it's a beautifully complex modern structure, framed to show that off to maximum effect. On the other, the monochrome shows us how weathered it is. If it weren't for the stunning architecture, we might guess that these were the walls of an industrial or abandoned structure.

This is more clinical than anything I've seen of Ben's. The grain feels less like a mood enhancer and more like a byproduct of an extreme macro or low-light capture. These are observations, reactions -- not really criticisms. I like what you're showing us, and the monochrome emphasizes the structure and texture of the plant like it should.

As a rule, I'm not crazy about backsides or telephoto candids. Yet I have to admit to being mildly intrigued by this. It has a voyeuristic quality. Who or what is lurking in those nicely manicured suburban bushes, I wonder.

Had trouble putting words to this one -- or maybe I was just afraid to. What I'm finding is that this has a certain erotic charge to it. Strangely appealing. I don't know what else to say.
