I like this a lot, but find things competing for my attention. The framing naturally pulls the eye toward the building in the window. But the interesting stuff is clearly the mattress store fire sale. In any case, I like the textures and colors here, and especially the layers of framing. Brilliant.

Very good. I agree that your subject tends to get lost in the vast and varied (almost busy) negative space. Maybe that's part of the message. Anyway, I think just a little better focus or sharpness on your subject could fix that. Also, I agree that more contrast overall might help. Wonderfully conceived and executed though.

Wonderfully abstract. The lighting is good and the focus is right where it should be. Again, I wonder how it would look in black and white (but I wonder how everything would look in black and white).

Brilliantly "seen" with some very nice geometry. This might make a nice black-and-white. In color, I might have added some drama to the sky -- deepened the blue, brought out some textures in the clouds. I think shooting this on a clear day might help also. The uncluttered negative space would really keep the focus on the "ship."

Very nice still life. The pots are maybe a tad overexposed; I suspect some nice texture or detail has been lost. But nicely composed and framed, and a great combination of colors.

Yes, exactly! That's why I didn't stick around for more. I had a few things going for me: I was a bit far away, and I was down steps so I had a good perspective (I'm six feet plus; notice I'm almost looking up at the subject). Also, there was a garbage can stategically placed between me and her... guardian(s).
