DANCING WITH LIGHTby ColeyComment: The effect seems creates movement in the still object. Is it the texture of the dancer that makes the light points? or did you create that with the application? The placemnt of the dancer is interesting - why have more black on her right. I'd almost put more space for her to "move into" or balance the sides exactly. |

Evocationby smittyComment: very imaginative - the light becomes the subject painting on our imagination. Wish the vase weren't so far in the corner - maybe better on the "thirds line' and the corner (the line in the center) is a bit distracting - a flat background would be better (or is the line an artifact of the light?) |

family altar on winter eveningby kenboComment: Lovely subject. I wish it were sharper, and perhaps less light because there are so many reflective objects the light glares a bit. |

Silhouetteby Firstrich1Comment: I Iike the hats - I wish the one in the middle didn't overlap with the woman's face - I'd like to see her full silhouette. I don't detect a moving light - I think the picture is better without it, but I have to bring it up 'cause that is the competition. |

Flower Powerby barrygComment: The effect goes great with the title. I wish the flowers were sharper - is this shot through slightly frosted glass? Even cooler if the "waves of power" were closer together. |

Old Bootsby agwrightComment: fun! Must have been hard to hold your hand steady enough to trace the laces. The light works well to illuminate the boots too. |

INRIby jaclkal98Comment: good idea - a halo effect. Gives a nice dusting of light on the rest of the scene too. |

Sparkling personality by timmiComment: Fun! I like how there is interest in both what the light shines on and the light itself. I wish the floor were as dark as the rest of the background - it reminds us of reality when the photograph it trying to take us away on a flight of fancy. |

Renaissanceby KarenBComment: This is lovely to look at. It seems as if the pears are glowing, that they are the source of the light. A wonderful result using the effect called for. I like the composition. I'm guessing some will say they think there is too much black at the top, but I think that blackness makes the pears seem all the more glowing, and gives a feeling of anticipation - what might the light shine on next? |
