Brothersby aznymComment: Well perhaps this was so imaginative people couldn't see it as typical "beauty." It was one of my favorites of the challenge - still is! |

'friends'by suemackComment: I really liked this photo - one of my highest rated in the challenge. Can't believe it isn't higher up! It has a wonderful quality of warm memories. I love the composition with the dog's nose in the bottom corner and the balance of the white shaggy fur and the girls dark hair. |

Butterfly Macroby elsapoComment: Love how the bug glows - wonderful range of tones - very rich color and very bright. |

Simple Sunsetby StructorComment: lovely horizontal composition - the lines of the clouds and the water split by the irregular lines of blue mountains. That puff of smoke is the perfect detail on the left - adds just a bit of interest for the eye to rest on - the smallness of humanity in the large beauty of nature (Iceland?) 8 |

Sidewalk Sashayby dahkotaComment: Fun use of color! The color highlights the contrasts between the two people nad there is a nice sense of movement with the man's ffet and the breeze in the skirt. Wish the edge of the skirt weren't cropped and there were a little more spce on the right to feel they are moving into. |

Brothersby aznymComment: This is both unusual and very beautiful. I like the framing from above - those two heads and those arms and the relationship between them. The sidewalk provides a nice neutral background. The black and white pulls it all together rather than have color emphasize the differences between the boys. The tight cropping emphasizes the movement - and makes you notice how precious and quick the beautiful moment is. 8 |

Remembrance of Lost Soldiersby ManicComment: I like the progression from top to bottom - the light and the focus. I wish there were a bit more to hold my attention in the bottom half of the frame - a poppy closer to the camer and relatively larger or perhaps be father away and have more poppies in the frame (all those soldiers lost! Perhaps that would work best with your chosen theme) Lovely red color. |

Pinkby twm122Comment: What beautiful eyes! I might crop this photo to one side or the other to bring more attention to her face - the fence in the background draws your eyes right across her face without stopping. Would like to see more of her hair too - the pretty braids reflect the girliness of the ruffled sleeve and say a lot about her personality - "pink." |

Beauty in Soft Focusby orussellComment: Softness does work well with these flowers - powder blue all powdery. But the soft focus effect kind of overpowers the subject. The first thing I think when I look at the picture is, "soft focus," not "beautiful flowers." |
