The Millby ArtanComment: Like something out of a graphic novel - you feel this place is full of interesting stories and characters. The odd colors, the glowering sky the grungy air. I like how the line of the fence leads the eye into the frame. |

The Edgeby andriComment: Imaginative composition works well with the curve of the building and bringing in the spiral stairs. Wish the stairs had a little more light on them - I like the golden accents of the light that is there, |

Turning Torsoby birkinComment: I like the contrast of bright white and dark blue - the great reflections in the windows - good use of polarlizer I would guess. A fabulous building I'll be curious to find out where it is. YOU chose a great angle to accentuate the twist of the building emphasizing its height. |

Taking it to the Limitsby sacredspiritComment: Great job isolating the arch from distracting elements. The lighting really accentuates the shape - and has a great range of dark to light. The blue blue sky with interesting clouds makes a dramatic backdrop that compliments the subject and links to your title. |

Full of energyby Ragga2000Comment: Fantastically eerie light - looks like a movie set for a thriller but better. Marvelous off-kilter angles. |

Intricacyby bryanbrazilComment: Good work with bright light - nice tonal range from dark to light. Must have used a polarlizer too? Great dark sky. Nice composition with the 90 degree angle at the bottom contrasting with the soaring curve of the dome. |

Transamerica Pyramidby sjonniComment: I particularly like how this is a completely different perspective on this building than we normally see. I like the framing with clouds and trees, the asymetrical placement of the building. |

Medieval Cloisters, Gloucester Cathedralby obsidianComment: I like all the detail you've found by boosting the midtones of your highlights - and in this architecture there is A LOT of detail - adding to it makes it bit extreme. There is nowhere for the eye to rest - although the leading lines of the floor do draw you to the door - you can't settle there. You need to add some contrast - perhaps if the door were less detailed and darker? Perhaps if the door remained detailed and the rest of the hall became lighter or darker? |
