Hard Waterby indianzfanComment: This is a very nice shot that would be made even nicer (in my humble opinion) if you used a cooler tone... the sepia always suggest warmth to me .. it is good to use something in the foreground to bring depth to the photo but in this case, the branches are taking away from the texture and the composition of the snow/ice |

melting frostby margiemuComment: Interesting backlighting effect...... the drop of water is a very nice touch... the muted background a perfect choice.... crisper focus on the leaf would have really have improved this shot |

Lucía (Noise & Quiet)by hfresnedaComment: Lighting/tone and shadows are all very good.... the pure white in her eye is a nice contrast to the tones in the rest of her body... she is a beautiful model with lovely eyes/skin - I would like to have seen her look directly into the camera, and cropped tighter on the knee and arm - her shoulders are very lovely and more emphasis on them would have made this shot very exciting. |

Valentineby magpie5212Comment: I like how the angle of the background works with how the flower comes into the photo.. I think you took a chance in using red but... it works.. the only thing that might improve this shot is a crisper focus on the petals of the flower... this would make a very romantic valentines card |

Gothicby commendatoriComment: What I really like about this shot is how you achieved the opposite shadowing in each of the models faces..... this photo gives me an eerie feeling .. as in gothic horror rather than gothic fashion and that's a good thing - I am not sure why you choose to have the buttons on his jacket in crisp focus and their faces not. might have been more effective the other way around... your exposure is great - good job! |

An Old Friendby error99Comment: This photo is beautifully rendered - the duotone choice excellent.. it evokes a photographic nostalgia - Oh the tales this camera could tell. |

The farm in the mistby alpharichComment: This is a lovely farmland being enveloped by the mist....(great title too) Your choice to use the branches of the trees in the foreground to suggest depth works very well on the left but not the right... the horizon gives the illusion of being tilted and by cropping out the branches on the right, this illusion would be lessened |

Without Titleby thorgilsComment: A good choice of tones as the clouds look like they are being lit by the sun setting/rising.. I get the feeling that you lightened this shot to bring out the wonderful details in the shadows of the mountains but at the expense of blowing out the clouds a bit - given the rules of basic editing there probably wasn't much else you could do - overall great composition |

Wiredby PrismComment: I think your choice of using sepia was a good one..the extra wire suggests more work to be done - never ending on ranches - If you had taken this shot from a different angle with less grass/plants, I think it would have been more effective |

Blades of Grassby Prof_FateComment: Interesting lighting and the play of the shadows is very nice... overall this is a nice abstract solution to the challenge. |
