Challenge: Duotones II (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Canon EOS-20D
Lens: Tamron AF 19-35mm f/3.5-4.5 for Canon
Location: Sage Chapel, Cornell University
Date: Feb 17, 2006
Aperture: 3.5
ISO: 800
Shutter: 1/15 s
Galleries: Interior, Architecture
Date Uploaded: Feb 20, 2006

Taken in Sage Hall...very dark so I had to bump up the ISO and try and hold steady after coming in from the cold.

Curves to make the image pop some, converted to sepia using FredMiranda B&W pro plugin with manual tweaking to bring out the contrast here. I sharpened using Smart Sharpening @ 2.4 pixels 100%. Only wish I'd had someone alone praying in one of the front pews. Would've made it stronger in my opinion.

excellent choice of tones.. the detail in the ceiling is very good considering how dark it is.... the reflection of the stained glass windows in the center isle is perfect.... all in all, a very well done shot

well done. a lot of times, i see shots like these with way too much contrast or, making the windows super white and the inside too dark. but you have captured a very well-balanced setting that shows a lot of flattering detail.

Wow. The sharpness in this obviously low light setting is stunning. A beautiful photo for duotones.

I know it is not easy to take pictures inside a church, but you did an amazing job! I would love to see this picture in color.

Bump up the contrast and brightness here should improve the photo, and make it "pop out" more.
