Day 07 - For Debby shalrathComment: I don't know the story so keep that in mind as I give feedback on this shot :) - I think that some of the top could be cropped off to add to the comp of this shot.. about half ... he has a strong face.. it holds my interest.. his expression is interesting.. I like the sepia and the slighlty blown out look - it all works. |

Engrossedby GermaineComment: My eye goes first to his hat.. what a wonderful hat it is.. and your processing brought it out.. my eye then follows down his white shirt to his book - what story holds his interest so? I don't know what your processing is but I love it.. please tell me (others too I imagine) how you do this..I love how his feet are splayed .. he is so comfortable ... his socks are so white .. look at that dappled light on the cobblestone.. I want to sit there.. I want to read there in such complete attention and serenity. |

propaneby tnunComment: Well framed in camera - world of adolescents contrasting with the world of adults - teens with skate boards and lit smokes in dangerous places - propane tanks and sail boats - well processed - interesting - many stories to tell oneself. |

Lunch On The Runby bvyComment: The sign behind him asks "Is your pharmacy closing" - this guy might need a pharmacy if this is his diet and on the run to boot lol ... fun shoot... interesting angle... kind of smooth angle, think more grain and grit/noise would suit this shot but that could just be me. |

Night Sceneby citymarsComment: I too am trapped inside so no shooting for me ... I commiserate with you.. but I digress... others have commented on the technicals so I will tell you about my feeling .. this shot makes me react strongly.. he seems so alone.. the composition works to emphasize that .. what an excellent job you did in isolating him, I wish I had you talent. |

oldacordbwdp.jpgby IraklisComment: Ahhhh, what a lovely shot this is.. everything is perfectly exposed.. the keys have detail even though they are in shadow.. the composition is great - the textures in the wall, in his face are great, the lines in the accordion are interesting, what a fascinating face he has, how earnest he is, he loves to entertain! I want to hear his music, hear what he is singing about. That's what a great photograph does, it wants you to be in that particular moment, it makes you want to be there! Do go back there, do a whole series of this dear soul and share them. |

Lovebirds No. 2by GermaineComment: I love bundling up with a hoddy and shorts.. makes me feel cozy ... what a great looking place with the hills in the b/g - I wonder if cropping off left of the first seagull closest to the couple would add to the composition? |

Bus Stop Ritualby bvyComment: Priceless - three completely different expressions - the woman, did she notice the man looking at her, did she close her eyes and try to wish him away? Him, was she swaying, chanting, was he admiring her womanly curves or reacting in concern to something she was doing? Youth, was he admiring the cool moves of the older guy hitting on the woman, grossed out by the older dude hitting on the woman at a bus stop, what is the story... I don't want to know.. I just want to look at this amazing photo and get a lost for a few moments making up a story that fits my world view - well done! Message edited by author 2008-10-11 09:45:47. |

Woman in Whiteby citymarsComment: The lack of focus doesn't bother me in this shot.. I like how you framed her.. she looks terribly important and terribly serious.. the way she is holding, or barely holding her phone is important looking...very well exposed |
