White Sandsby twmaxComment: I love your composition and the level of details you were watching. e.g. that the horizon is not cutting through the blossoms, the shadows. interesting textures in the sand. good colors. nicely done |

Young Loveby Darkend_SwordComment: IMO there are a few thing wrong with this picture. Please do understand my comments as suggestions, not as destructive comments.
Composition: the body positions don't look very natural. The young woman has to bend her heads so far back that her face is not visible and moves into his shadow. Likewise the young man has to bend forwards casting the shadow onto her face. I can't help but being distracted by the rose bushes (?) in the background. The choice of background is not very lucky. All these lines cutting into the young couple. Getting the background (may be a brightly lit area as they are wearing dark clothes) away from them separates and solates them from the background. The lower part of your picture is not really adding. Just the opposite. It takes away because its significantly underexposed. You have to look out for details: his right arm is cropped too tight.
Technically the skin is expose well. The hair could use some bounced light. But the biggest point is that the picture is very versy soft. It almost appears as if the wall in the background is more in focus than the couple.
keep participating on this site and check the details of the top 20 picture of each challenge. I know I learned a lot from the great photogs on this site. And I keep learning from my mistakes as this site points them out to you very clearly, sometimes brutally. Keep shooting. |

Enjoying the Fall Sunby SpizzerComment: great bokeh and strong colors. seems soft or the DOF is too shallow. good composition. I like the lines going up, including the long body pointing up. |

Beaconingby posthumousComment: I find it hard to comment on this picture. It took me a long while to see the child. There are so many lines criss-crossing in the shot that the viewer quickly gets lost, nothing to hold on to. May be if the child dropped something like a stuffed animal or so. Then there would be a story to tell. |
