Business. Class. BMW.by h2Comment: nice set up for these cars.the high contrast between the dark paint and the brighter background works well. There are 3 things that distract me: the woman on the left and the slight OOF on the car in the background (a longer shutterspeed could have made the woman invisible and in crease the DOF). the 3rd part are the strong reflections on the hood and wind shield (no idea how to avoid them) |

Waveby whttiger25Comment: I aplologize if I'm too direct. There is nothginwrong with showing a wave. It's only the way you chose to do that. You cut the picture in half with the upper half beeing completely empty. THere is no use of negative space, the sky is plain empty. The lower part of your picture is split into thirds. a real dark featureless beach, a third that could be intersting with all the dynamics of retrieving and coming out waves and an other boring third of empty sea.
If you now look at your picture is a real small portion of your pic that's intersting. You took a picture of it too far away (no details) and placed it into a spot surrounded by featureless areas.
I know it sounds hard, but if you want to show off the wave, you got to get up close. Looks like you had a nice low sun. Get your feet wet and take a pic against the sun, right when the wave is breaking (well a long tele does the same thing), or turn around an shoot with the light, or get down to the almost the level of the water and show us the fight of the water coming in with the one pulled out. |
