Orange Manby tristanComment: This apears a bit too contrasty. His distorted shadow doesn't really add much to the composition which suggests a different POV would have worked better. Despite the bright color and flowy costume, I'm finding this a rather dull composition. |

Smell The Flowersby Spanish_GreaseComment: I don't like the use of selective desaturation. This doesn't really say anything about freedom to me. It has a too perfect, plastic quality. I like the composition. |

Total Freedomby pmichaudComment: The vertical framing, the diagonals created by texture of the sand, and the generous cropping at the bottom combine to create a very dynamic composition. The shadow adds greater energy. Very good. |

Small Boat Heading Out To Seaby TallblokeComment: The boat is really more like a speck on the horizon. It appears to be quite dark in the foreground. The black shape created by this underexposed area of land isn't quite dynamic enough to deserve so much space in the frame. This is just a bit dull for me. |

Cool Freedomby graphicfunkComment: This is just unnattractive and gross. While she is in good shape, her legs and buttucks just aren't lovely enough to get away with this. Her hand looks rather rough. I just want her to put her skirt back down and put some panties on. |

As Free as the eye can see.by bmatt17Comment: I know this seems a bit nitpicky, but honestly, too me she looks caged in by the ugly rails . The bare concrete wall adds to the feeling of confinement. It has a prison-like quality.
I do like the softness of the colors in the grass and the vista. |

Free as a rain dropby AlexysComment: I don't really see this as freedom. Setting aside the fact that it is an inanimate object (of sorts, a rain drop has no choice but to fall eventually. Its only option is down. That isn't freedom---it's the law of gravity.
This is a nice shot, though. I like the use of complementary colors and the composition is quite active and engaging. If it had met the challenge, it would be a 7. Not meeting the challenge, I have to rate it lower.
